Indigenous People’s Day aims to celebrate and honor the past, present and future of Indigenous peoples, acknowledge the legacy of colonialism and its impact on Indigenous communities through the present day, and moves beyond the narrative of oppression and honors the strength of Indigenous peoples. This deep dive shares it’s history, significance, and how it is best observed.
