About:
Our history as a faith community dates back to the end of the 19th century. Beginning with the humble chapel of 1895, followed by the church of 1908, to the erection of the present building in 1967 and its dedication as diocesan shrine on 2006, the faithful have continued their pilgrimage to Melrose Park in unwavering faith and tradition to pay homage to Our Blessed Mother Mary under her ancient title of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Our yearly solemn novena and unique feast, the Eucharistic Celebrations, the street processions, the many religious practices held in our Church are certainly spiritual experiences that allow us to experience God in a unique way. Faith, Family and Fun are certainly the trademarks of our countless celebrations.
